Needle in a Haystack? Recent developments in Fighter Fire Control Radars
A number of important fighter acquisitions will be resolved during 2009, with the vast majority of competitors equipped with highly capable, and very expensive, Fire Control Radars featuring the latest Active Electronically Scanned Array (AESA) technologies.
During this 60 minute online seminar, employing a platform-based approach, Jane’s will examine the potential operational requirements of a number of major customers and look behind the current ‘must have’ stance of Air Forces and Contractors with regard to electronically scanned arrays. The impact of other factors, including Low Observable (LO) airframe characteristics and air-to-air weapon capability, is intrinsic to a discussion which examines the technology, operational implementation and market for fighter Fire Control Radars.
