New from mine detection specialist NIITEK is the Visor Mini-HMDS, a portable version of the Husky-Mounted Detection System (HMDS). A full-scale model of Visor Mini-HMDS is shown on the Chemring Stand 364, mounted on a Talon-class robot.

Folkestone, UK-based NIC Instruments Ltd (Stand 1448) is preparing for a growth in its advanced bomb disposal and high-risk search equipment business. The company has just completed a substantial investment in its manufacturing capability, with assistance from the South East England Development Agency, and has expanded its customer demonstration and training area.
