TÜV test service for the UK

TÜV Product Service (Stand 892), an acknowledged expert in product testing and certification and part of the TÜV SÜD group, will be launching the UK’s first SC21 test service at this year’s DSEi, having trialled the new programme with a key player in the aerospace and defence industry.

SC21 was initiated by the Society of British Aerospace Companies (SBAC) as a modernisation programme to accelerate the competitiveness of the aerospace and defence industry.

Jean-Louis Evans, managing director of TÜV Product Service, said: “With the growth of international competition and the current challenges posed by the defence industrial strategy, there is a distinct need for improvement in the effectiveness of the UK’s supply chains.”

DSEi will also be the launch pad for TÜV SÜD’s accredited service to test the RF shielding effectiveness of specialist enclosures used in the military, and its new off-site service for testing at aircraft level to EMC MIL-STD-461E.
