Orders near AED12 billion

With another AED3.7 billion in orders being announced yesterday by the UAE Armed Forces, the week’s total has now climbed to AED11.8 billion.
Yesterday’s highest value item is the contract to C4 Advanced Solutions for network upgrades, closely followed by an order from Abu Dhabi Ship Building for the Raytheon RIM-116 Rolling Airframe Missile.
This week there has been no comment on the Alenia Aermacchi M346 trainer aircraft deal announced here two years ago, but yesterday the Italian company was awarded a contract for four MB339 trainers.
